Habetrot, an Anglo-Celtic goddess, is the mother creatress, spinning and weaving the world into being. With compassion, she guides women in households, creating order and healing. Magically, she weaves her healing potions into garments, whose wearer never falls ill.
“Knitting has always been for me both a meditation and an expression of love.. I have , like the Goddess Habetrot, thought of these warm, organic fibers: cashmere and wool, cotton and bamboo, as healing and comforting. I have always loved color and texture and the way in which the geometry of pattern creates a visual vibration in woven and knit fabrics. Like Tibetan tankas that create healing when they are focused on, so I like to create a vibration in color and pattern that speaks to and nurtures the heart and soul.”
