MORGAN LE FAY: Goddess of the Lake, Celtic Britain

Morgan Le Fay was an enchantress and a sorceress. As queen of Avalon, her enchanted isle of women, she practiced visionary and prophetic arts.

She rescued her half-brother, the mortally wounded King Arthur, placed him gently in her boat, and sailed away to Avalon. There, in her garden of immortality, she and her two sisters tended his wounds and healed him.

Morgan is both dark and light, death mother and healer, crone and donor of gifts of fate. She can charge life with pitfalls or give gifts of chance and surprise.

“There is much confusion and many conflicting opinions about Morgana...
is she good?... Is she bad?
I am drawn to her because she is neither one, nor the other.
Morgana defies categorization.
She is She... She IS”
