PHOTOGRAPHY: LISA LEVART
The core of the book will include 60-70 sumptuous color photographs by Lisa Levart. Over 60 women have been photographed, including the writers Isabel Allende, Jean Shinoda Bolen and Madhur Jaffrey, the actresses Olympia Dukakis, Karen Allen, Shirley Knight and LisaGay Hamilton, the comedian Reno, the singer Suzzy Roche of The Roche Sisters, herbalist Susun Weed, and choreographers and dancers Anna Halprin, Eiko (of Eiko and Komo), and Annabelle Gamson. These known figures will represent perhaps a quarter of the images; the remaining portraits are of women from all walks of life, from an eight-year-old girl to a 99-year-old woman.

Supporting the photographic images will be each Goddess’s archetypal description, written by Dr. Betty De Shong Meador, as well as a personal statement by the individual women on what their Goddess means to them, and why they chose her.

FOREWORD: JEAN SHINODA BOLEN, MD
The renowned author of “Godessess in Everywoman”, Jean Shinoda Bolen, M.D., will write the foreword.

APPENDIX: The book will close with a short biography of each of the portrait subjects.
